SUSEN - Secondary Ions Mass Spectrometer (SIMS)

30.07.2015

In July 2015, ENVINET a.s. completed supply of secondary ions mass spectrometer SIMS 7f for our valuable customer Research Centre Řež, Ltd. This supply was funded via the Sustainable Energy (SUSEN) project.

Secondary ions mass spectrometer SIMS 7f is very sensitive instrument with high image resolution for chemical analysis of microscopic particles and surfaces of solid materials. Among others, this instrument enables measurement of isotopic ratios in particles with size of micrometers (uranium oxide and other materials ) in environmental samples  with high accuracy, reliability and speed, including automatic search and identification of microscopic particles of interest followed by measurement of precise isotopic ratios.

Manufacturer of the device is a French company CAMECA. ENVINET a.s. was an intermediary that offered CAMECA acceptable contract and payment conditions; moreover ENVINET a.s. has adequate facilities in the area of nuclear research institutes in Řež and knows their environment very well.
