National Radiation Protection Institute received results of an opposition procedure for the finished five-year project of the Ministry of the Interior with NUVIA a.s. acting as a one of the key co-investigators.

The project is called „Research of advanced methods of detection, estimation and management of resulting radioactive contamination (contractor)". It is the largest project in this field and deals with the whole issue of radiation accident, including the effects on agriculture and waters, the analysis of reactions of both inhabitants and response forces, development of new detectors, unique automaton and software for accident impact analysis.

The project results were evaluated and deemed “excellent“.

We would also like to honor the memory of our late colleague from SURO and the main investigator of the project, Zdeněk Prouza.
